Sydney protest supports call for no-fly zone over Rojava to stop Turkish invasion

Rallies were held around the world on July 23 to support the call from Rojava for the United Nations to impose a no-fly zone over north and east Syria (NES) to stop a threatened invasion by Turkey and allied Islamic fundamentalist terrorist groups.

One of the first of these in Sydney was addressed by Greens Senator David Shoebridge, Reverend Bill Crews, Kurdish journalist Mansour Razaghi and other speakers.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan urged Iran and Russia to support this invasion in a meeting between the three countries’ leaders in Tehran on July 20. There has been a sharp increase Turkish killer drone attacks in NES.

The Sydney rally was told that the United States and Russia already control the airspace above the region and could easily stop these air attacks.
