“O believers! Stand firm for justice as witnesses for Allah even if it is against yourselves, your parents, or close relatives.”
- Qur’an 135:4

Even before the dust had settled on the horrific terror attack at a Jewish Chanukah event in Bondi—before the victims were formally identified and the wounded treated—a troubling narrative had already begun to take shape.

At a moment when the nation should be united in mourning and care, we instead find ourselves deeply divided, as a national tragedy is politicised and weaponised for purposes far removed from justice, safety, or healing.

Muslim Votes Matter invites you to join this timely and important conversation, featuring an insightful and thought-provoking discussion with:

Dr Jordana Silverstein: Award-winning historian and author of Cruel Care: A History of Children at Our Borders (2023) and Anxious Histories: _Narrating the Holocaust in Jewish Communities at the Beginning of the Twenty-First Century_ (2015), and creator and host of the Being Stateless podcast.

Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah: Sociologist, author and former lawyer. Randa has spent her career researching Islamophobia, racism, social justice movements and the generational impact of the _"War on Terror"_ .
