Protest the cancellation of Palestinian author, Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah from Adelaide Writers’ Week 2026!
The Israel Zionist Lobby, the Adelaide Festival Board and the Premier of South Australia, Peter Malinauskas, have wrecked Writers’ Week. Adelaide and South Australia have become a laughing stock on the international stage!
Following Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah’s unjust cancellation from Writers’ Week, the vast majority of writers scheduled to appear at the event withdrew in protest.
Rather than recognize their decision was wrong and reinstate Randa, the Premier and the Festival Board chose to sacrifice Writers’ Week and it’s marvellous Director, Louise Adler.
The Israel Zionist Lobby is determined to exclude all voices critical of the aparthied state of Israel from the public domain in Australia. They are determined that Israel's genocide of the Palestinian People disappears from public consciousness, and that there is no accountability for Israel’s ongoing genocide and war crimes.
Rather than confront the real issues - illegal occupation, ethnic cleansing, apartheid and genocide - the Israel Zionist Lobby, the Premier and the Adelaide Festival Board are determined to punish individuals and indeed an entire movement that is crying out for justice, freedom and dignity for all peoples. To link Randa and a movement of hundreds of thousands of Australians to the Bondi massacre is legally and morally indefensible!
Join us in a protest this Friday 16 January at 12 noon in front of the office of the Premier, State Administration Centre, 200 Victoria Square and help us protest this injustice!
