Why

Join the Northern Rivers community at The Quad in Lismore on Thursday 15 October for an evening of solidarity, speakers and a community march.

Since 1988, people in Lismore and surrounds have come together for Reclaim the Night to speak out against violence and call for a future where women and girls can live free from violence, harassment and fear. In 2026, we continue that tradition together.

The evening will be hosted by comedian, writer and social commentator Mandy Nolan. Keynote speaker Madeleine West will share her insights and experiences on women’s safety. We’ll also hear from Beth Hamilton of Zonta and Marnie Davis of Women Up North Housing about the work being done locally to support women and strengthen responses to gender-based violence.

Local percussion group Repercussion will lead the community march through the streets of Lismore.
