Why
Join WoCo for one of our most important protests of the year!
Year after year, our university shamefully ignores the rampant sexual violence which occurs during Welcome Week. We need to demand that our university stops turning a blind eye to sexual violence, and fight to dismantle the patriarchal power structures allowing gendered violence.
This is particularly relevant following a rise of femicide, attacks on queer and trans rights, and a failure to protect sex workers. As so-called Australia allows open misogyny to rise, we must make a stand and fight back.
