Rally: No to Bigotry, Rescind the ban on gay parenting and drag story

Why

Pride in Protest is protesting outside Cumberland City Council next Wednesday at 6 pm against the recent bans on gay parenting books and drag queen storytime. Cumberland City Council is holding its next assembly on the 15th of May. It's time for the community to demonstrate that we do not accept the transphobic and homophobic rhetoric of extremist and bigoted groups like Christian Lives Matter (CLM), their ideas, and their cronies on the Council.

We demand:  Cumberland City Council rescind the bans on books depicting same-sex parenting and drag queens reading story books in libraries. Chris Minns and NSW Labor expel Labor council members who have caused these bans.  NSW Labor pass the Equality Bill in full.

Join us to stand up for the Cumberland LGBTQ+ community and oppose censorship in the public domain!
