Actions, protests & rallies
Gadigal Country/Sydney

When

10:00am Friday 23 February

Where

Taylor Square
Oxford St
Darlinghurst NSW
Australia

Why

Meet: 10am Friday 23 February outside Kinslas at Taylor Square, Darlinghurst and march to the new Qtopia Inc. museum, site of old Darlinghurst Police Station.

Protest Labor MP Anthothy Albanese, Premier Chris Minns, former ABC Chair Ita Buttrose and arch-homophobes and anti-Palestinian Lachlan Murdoch of Murdoch Press.

Qtopia, a new LGBTIQA+ museum has it's opening on Friday February 23 at 11am at the old Darlinghurst Jail, where our rainbow community elders were taken and bashed on June 24, 1978.

As a genocide against Palestinians is being carried out by Israel, with full political, military and economic support from the Australian government, four key leaders aiding the assault on Palestine will be 'celebrating' the opening of this museum.

Sick of Zionist Israel pink-washing genocide? Want to protest Murdoch lies against Palestine? Want to to amplify voices of queer Palestinians against the ALP's weasel words of so-called sustainable ceasefire?

Want to make clear to murderous Israel that this genocide is not in the rainbow communities name? Join this protest.

We demand:

Permanent, Immediate, Ceasefire NOW
Restore Funding to UNWRA NOW
No Invasion of Rafah
Break All Military Ties with Israel
Expel the Israeli Ambassador and sever All Diplomatic Ties
Stop PinkWashing Genocide: there is nothing progressive about Israel's mass slaughter
ABC: Reinstate and Compensate pro-Palestinian journalist Antoinette Lattouf
Murdoch: Stop your lies

Bring pots and pans kites, bring Palestinian, Aboriginal, Rainbow, Union flags and placards.

City of Sydney for Palestine are residents are taking action in Gadigal/Sydney for Palestine. We successfully pushed for City of Sydney Council to pass an immediate, permanent ceasefire now motion and are organising for our local MPs to join the calls for an end to Israel's siege and war on Gaza and Palestine.
