Nuclear leak at British plant

Authorities are monitoring two workers exposed to radiation in a leak at the Sellafield nuclear reprocessing plant in north-west Britain, Associated Press reported on February 1.

The workers were among 13 people in a building at the plant when a bag containing a nuclear filter was damaged, the plant operator, British Nuclear Fuels, said.

The Sellafield plant annually reprocesses about 200 tonnes of nuclear material for reuse, much of it shipped from other countries.
