Why

Through real-time bodycam and phone footage, frontline activists take audiences along on their audacious raids to tear down arms factories around the UK.

Since 2020, direct action group Palestine Action have documented their operations to dismantle the companies and infrastructure supplying weapons to the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

Independent film makers Rainbow Collective have combined this cache of footage with narration by the group's founders to follow the explosive growth of one of the world's most effective and confrontational protest groups, and the backlash activists face as they incur the wrath of the British state and the arms companies operating on their soil.

Following the controversial labelling of Palestine Action as a proscribed terrorist organisation in the UK, this film has been taken down all platforms. So this might be a rare opportunity to watch it in cinema.

This film screening will be followed by a conversation and a Q&A session with Margie Pestorius and Nick Hanna.

Margie Pestorius is a long time activist a co-founders of “Wage Peace - Disrupt War”. She has been involved in anti-military work since the first gulf war. In 2016, she walked into Pine Gap to oppose the use of Pine Gap as a military operation base for war crimes.

Nick Hanna is a Lebanese Australian lawyer, director of The Last Sky documentary and host of the new podcast, the What & the Why. He has provided pro bono legal services to various people participating in pro-Palestine direct action and other political activities during the Gaza genocide.
