Why

Guess My Accent (GMA) and the Migrant Work Rights Hub Tasmania are co-hosting an interactive information session for people working in Tasmania on temporary visas (including student, skilled and sponsored, Working Holiday, and other types of temporary visas).

This session will cover:

⚫ Workplace rights in Australia
⚫ How to identify workplace exploitation (underpayment, unsafe work, unfair treatment, harassment)
⚫ How to safely report exploitation
⚫ The recent Migration Act changes that introduced new protections for migrant
⚫ workers who have experienced exploitation
⚫ Where to get free and confidential support in Tasmania
⚫ The session will include a presentation followed by a fun and interactive workplace rights quiz.

This is a free event designed to build awareness, and knowledge of workplace rights
in a safe and welcoming environment.
