Activist Teachers Network NSW organised a snap rally outside the Department of Education on September 24 for John Morris, a teacher who was suspended without pay after a dishonest smear campaign from The Daily Telegraph for posting about Palestine on his own social media page.

Speakers included Cassandra Barford, from Nurses and Midwives for Palestine; Nick Riemer, vice president (academic) of the Sydney University National Tertiary Education branch; Yehuda Aaron, a Jewish teacher and member of Teachers and School Staff for Palestine; and Alex McKinnon, from Deepcut News.

People were urged to join the campaign to boycott The Daily Telegraph.
