Snap action calls for suspended teacher to be reinstated

NSW Activist Teachers Network organised a snap rally outside the Department of Education on September 24 for John Morris, a teacher who was suspended without pay after a dishonest smear campaign from the Daily Telegraph for posting about Palestine on his own social media page.

Speakers included Cassandra Barford, Nurses and Midwives for Palestine, Nick Reimer, Vice President (academic) of the Sydney University National Tertiary Education branch, Yehuda Aaron, a Jewish teacher and member of Teachers and School Staff for Palestine and Alex McKinnon, from Deep Cut News.

People were urged to join the campaign to boycott The Daily Telegraph.
