Join nationwide rallies on April 18–19, organised by What Were You Wearing (WWYW), to demand an end to violence against women and children.
Rates of domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV) have reached crisis levels, rising by 8% in 2025–26. According to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, one in four women have experienced violence from their partner.
At least 79 women were killed in 2025 and 18 women have been killed in 2026 already.
WWYW are calling for sustained federal funding for grassroots and regional DFSV services, mandated DFSV education in schools, free counselling for victim-survivors, accountability from artificial intelligence companies and trauma-informed training for first responders.
