Activists demanded “weapons out of Magan-djin” at the Ferra Engineering factory in Magan-djin/Brisbane on March 30. It was the latest in a series of actions targeting the company for supplying critical parts to the F-35 fighter plane used by Israel in its genocide against the people of Gaza.
The factory appeared closed for the day even though the action was simply a protest outside the factory with an almost festival atmosphere, rather than a civil disobedience attempt to block the factory.
Some actions have set up tripods and physically closed the factory in recent months.
One feature of the action was a name-and-shame display of senior civil service bureaucrats (alongside “defence” minister Richard Marles) who are key figures in Australia’s supply of weapons to genocide.
