The Syrian government has reneged on every agreement and broken every ceasefire. Its militias — notorious for sadistic abuse — are posting videos of their atrocities. Prisons are being taken over and ISIS prisoners released in their thousands, while the US-led International Coalition to Defeat ISIS does nothing.
Syrian government fighters now threaten the core Kurdish areas, and the city of Kobanê — famous for turning the tide against ISIS — has been cut off.
