Why

The Northern Territory is hurting – and enough is enough.

Our communities are suffering. Violence is up, services are cut, and our Country is under attack. They’ve broken every promise they made to Territorians – and it’s time we held them accountable.

The NT government must stop the harm and build a Territory where everyone thrives. They must be honest – good governance starts with transparency. And they must respect human rights in every law and policy.

The Northern Territory government has failed Territorians. Our money is going to build more jails – while babies are born in hospital corridors, teachers can’t be recruited, housing has become unaffordable, and the public service is denied a fair wage.

And when Aboriginal communities are targeted, everyone loses. This government divides us – by race, gender, and environment – but we stand united.

According to the Australian Institute for Health and Welfare, the NT has the highest infant, child, and youth mortality rate in the country – with Aboriginal kids dying faster than any other.

Is this the NT you’re proud of?

We are grieving. We are angry. We are ready.

Stand together. Raise your voice. Stop the harm.

This rally is organised by the Stop the Harm Steering Committee: Thomas Mayo, Richard Fejo, Natalie Hunter, Ned Hargraves, and Mililma May.
