Why

Whose streets? OUR STREETS!

The gay and trans rights movement burst into life on the streets, and it's on the streets that our rights will be won.

We demand:

  • NO RIGHT TO DISCRIMINATE: Protections for queer and trans workers and students against firing and expulsion on religious grounds
  • DEFEND TRANS YOUTH HEALTH CARE: No more gatekeeping or rolling back access to vital support and education for young trans and non-binary people
  • END POLICING OF OUR COMMUNITIES: Stop targeting our communities with drug dogs and strip-searches; end the raids on migrant workplaces; stop using police as mental health first responders

We build a fighting queer and trans rights movement by building power on the streets, in our workplaces, in our schools and communities. We will see you at the Mardi Gras Street Rally 2026!
