در کابل، جایی که طالبان دختران را از تحصیل در دانشگاه منع کرده‌اند، فرشته، زن جوانی که از تحصیلات عالی محروم است، به کودکان زیر شش سال آموزش می‌دهد و از عکاسی به عنوان وسیله‌ای برای مقاومت در برابر فراموشی استفاده می‌کند. او از طریق لنز دوربین خود، لحظاتی از ظلم، امید و تاب‌آوری را ثبت می‌کند. اما در شهری که حقیقت جرم است، هر عکسی خطری را به همراه دارد.این مستند، تصویری تکان‌دهنده و خام از زن جوانی است که در تاریکی برای نور می‌جنگد - جایی که انتخاب‌های او نه تنها سرنوشت خودش را شکل می‌دهد، بلکه به نسلی خاموش نیز صدا می‌بخشد.
