Housing is a human right was the theme of the Housing Alliance Lutruwita/Tasmania and Grassroots Action Network Tasmania protest outside Parliament House on April 30.
The protest was addressed by renters, mortgage payers, aspiring homeowners and the displaced.
Speakers included: Kate from Housing with Dignity, Lisa from Renters in Obnoxious Tenancies, Ben Bartell from the Tenants Union of Tasmania, Safire Grant, Women with Disabilities Australia, Greens Senator Peter Whish-Wilson, Rose Matthews from Socialist Alliance and Matt from the Housing Alliance.
