Gunns holds EGM

HOBART — The Wilderness Society's "corporate campaign" against woodchipping company Gunns Ltd resulted in an extraordinary general meeting of the company on August 29. A motion calling on the company to stop woodchipping in high-conservation forests, as identified through Tasmania Together process, was unsuccessful. However, three large corporate shareholders abstained in the vote. Pictured is an August 19 rally in Hobart supporting the campaign.
