Issue

“The Party of the European Left declares its solidarity with the friends and families of the more than 80 people killed in the incomprehensible attack on July14 in Nice,” the group of left-wing parties across Europe said in a statement that day. “On its national day, France witnesses another violent attack despite all its anti-terrorist security measures.

“Unfortunately, attacks like this keep happening in Europe and all over the world and as we have been advocating for a long time, the responses from the international community are effective. So we take this opportunity to remember that terror must not be fought with more terror ...

“The European Left declares its commitment to peace, justice and internationalism ...We believe another Europe and another World are possible and for sure needed.”
