Green Left depends on the generous support of those who appreciate the indispensable role we play in grassroots activism and progressive politics.
It is through the generous donations and tireless fundraising efforts of our supporters each year which enable us to cover the gap between our operating expenses and the income we receive from sales and supporterships.
Thank you for all the support you have given so far.
However, there is another way you can help make sure the Green Left project continues.
An independent incorporated body, Green Left Inc, has been established to accept bequests to support our work.
Through Green Left Inc you can make a safe provision for Green Left in your will.
You may wish to consult a solicitor when drawing up your will.
If you do decide to make a bequest to Green Left in your will, please let us know. It isn’t necessary, but we’d love to know about your support and to thank you for it.
There are several ways in which you can leave us a bequest. It can be for: the whole estate; a percentage of an estate; a fixed amount; the residue of an estate after provisions have been made for others; or for a percentage of that residue.
Some suggested wording for a bequest might be:
“I give to Green Left Incorporated (INC9882262) of Suite C1.07 22-36 Mountain Street, Ultimo NSW 2007 (or its successor) ...”
[choose one option of:]
- “the whole of my estate” or
- “......... percent of my estate” or
- “the amount of $..........” or
- “the residue of my estate” or
- “......... percent of the residue of my estate”
“... to be used for its purposes after the payment of all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses and all duties, taxes and charges payable on my Estate.
The receipt of this bequest by any authorised officer of Green Left Incorporated (or its successor) shall form valid discharge to my executor.”
