Why

The rally is only a couple of weeks away, so it's time to get creative!

Join us for a working bee and shared lunch as we prepare banners, placards and t-shirts for the Social Spending Not War Spending Rally outside the ALP National Conference.

The working bee is this Saturday 11 July, 11:00am – 3:00pm at SACOSS, 47 King William Road, Unley.

We'll be:

  • Painting banners and signs
  • Creating placards
  • Working on rally chants

We'll also be screen printing APN SA logos onto plain black t-shirts (preferably) for members, volunteers and supporters to wear at the rally. Bring your own plain cotton t-shirt if you'd like one printed.

Please bring:

  • Old corflutes or sturdy cardboard if you have them
  • Paint brushes or art supplies (optional)
  • Clothes you don't mind getting paint on
  • Lunch or snacks to share
  • Tea and coffee supplied

We'll have some paints and other art supplies available.

Work on this joint rally or work on your own event needs.

Whether you're artistic or can barely draw a stick figure, there's something for everyone to do. Come along, meet other campaigners, help build a colourful, creative rally, and have a bit of fun while we're at it.

Together we'll make sure our message is impossible to miss:

Social Spending, Not War Spending.
