The Women’s Rally for the NDIS: Too Much Labour is now a national online action, with Nipaluna/Hobart still going ahead in person.
This is not a cancellation.
It is a recognition that women, disabled people, mothers, parents, families, unpaid carers and workers are already carrying too much labour.

We are doing what we can, from where we can.
Some of us will gather in person in Nipaluna/Hobart.
Some of us will join online.
Some of us will share a post, a sign, a story or a photo.
Some of us will simply amplify the message.
All of it counts.
The message has not changed:
NDIS cuts are not gender neutral.
When disability support is cut, the work does not disappear. It is pushed back onto disabled people, mothers, parents, families, unpaid carers and a highly feminised workforce.
This is too much labour.
Support is a right.
Support is safety.
Care work is work.
We are calling for:
- an end to NDIS cuts and reforms that shift support onto families and unpaid carers
- protection of support for disabled children
- protection of support for disabled parents
- a rights-based, individualised and accessible NDIS
- disability support to be recognised as a right, not unpaid women’s work

Women, disabled people, parents and unpaid carers are already carrying too much.
NDIS reform cannot be built on the assumption that families, especially mothers, will absorb whatever support governments refuse to fund.
Too much labour. Not enough support. Protect our NDIS. Stop shifting care.
