Why

Concerned about the impacts of gas mining on Darling Downs farms, and the massive gas processing plant under development at Cecil Plains?

This peaceful, friendly weekly action is now underway, raising awareness and showing solidarity with our community.

  • Every Tuesday and Friday
  • 8:00–10:00am
  • (photo at 10am – come just for that if you like!)
  • Tuesdays: Outside the office of Toowoomba North MP Trevor Watts, corner of Ruthven and Jellicoe Sts, Toowoomba
  • Fridays: Outside the office of Queensland Energy Minister and Toowoomba South MP David Janetski, Bernoth Centre, 677 Ruthven St, Toowoomba

Wear gold and black, if possible.

Bring a chair, sunscreen, your craft project, and a sign/s.

Let’s keep standing together for our kids and a healthy, thriving planet.

The focus of Toowoomba Knitting Nannas Against Coal and Gas will be on stopping Arrow Energy’s expansion into Cecil Plains with a huge gas processing plant only 8 kms from the town and rich farming country. Residents and farmers do not want it.
