Why

Come along to this two-part event by Rainbow Cumberland featuring a discussion on the war on drag and workshops on essential drag skills.

It has been 2 years since Cumberland Council introduced a ban on drag storytime. What has this attack meant for drag culture and the broader LGBTQIA+ community in Western Sydney? Why has this ban made its way from the USA all the way to Merrylands?

Join Rainbow Cumberland this Pride Month with local drag artists, LGBTQ+ activists, and LGBTQ+ researchers to discuss the war on drag and our future ahead. Later on, watch mini workshops delivered by local drag artists on 'Drag 101': the essential skills for getting into drag. Catering will be provided.

This event is welcome for the LGBTQ+ community, anyone interested in learning about drag, and those interested in politics/public policy.

RSVP to reserve your spot (and for the location).

This event is proudly supported by ACON and Pride Foundation Australia.
