When
Why
All Nannas are invited to a get-together for a laugh and to sing some protest songs.
Lyrics provided. No musical ability necessary. Nanna Margi and her guitar will help Nannas get the most fun out of some rousing parodies, protest songs, and satirical take-offs to familiar tunes.
This is a social event, not an Action. It is very good for our well-being to sing in a group with like-minded folk.
Roadies and Friends are also always welcome.
VENUE: Venue to be announced. Depending on numbers, the sing-along will be held at either Tarrawanna or Wollongong. We will get back to you on 29 or 30 April with venue details.
BRING: some arvo tea to share, and your courage to let your voice be heard. Also, feel free to bring your knitting, though you will also have song sheets to handle.
WEAR: Your black and yellow if you wish, or just turn up as you are. This is for enjoyment, not an activist event.
Just for fun, you are welcome to add a funny hat, some colourful, flamboyant trimmings, or other eye-catching “protest” ensemble. We may take a photo or two at the end of the day, with everyone’s permission.
RSVP: Your RSVP by 28 April would be much appreciated by ticking 'Going' on Facebook, or contact Cherry Hardaker on 0408 674 305, or email Anne Cipants [email protected], or email Anne Kelly at [email protected].
