Why
Barrambin today, where else tomorrow?
It has been confirmed that Barrambin/Victoria Park will be fenced off on June 1.
At this stage the status of the land will change and it will become freehold land.
This opens all of the park up for development.
The Olympics are being used as an excuse to steal land from the public and line the pockets of developers.
All parks in Queensland are potentially under threat. If they can do it to one place they’ll do it somewhere else.
Developers are rubbing their hands with joy.
Join us at Ibis Island to appreciate what is at risk. Discover this sacred space.
Join us at Barrambin to enjoy green space and community.
DJs, music and art!
Barbara Hart our Anarchist comrade will be giving a talk about the problems with the Olympics. Come and join the discussion afterwards.
