Why
Join us to send off our comrade, Zack, as he joins the Global Sumud Flotilla in an effort to break Israel's illegal naval blockade of Gaza, and deliver food and medicine to people in need.
Many ordinary Australians and thousands of people from around the world will make this year's Sumud flotilla the single largest civilian fleet - a coalition of movements including Global Movement to Gaza (Zack's crew), Thousand Madleens, and the Freedom Flotilla Coalition.
From blockading coal ships in Newcastle to sailing the Mediterranean, Rising Tide supports principled non-violent direct actions to serve ordinary working people of the world.
What to expect
Join us from 7pm after a dinner at the Addison Road Wednesday Night Lights for an evening of live music, a dabke workshop by the incredible Dahnoon Dabke crew, a craft stall and clothes swap, a few speeches, a video booth, maybe a sea shanty, and more.
Drinks will be available to purchase - this is a party, so bring a party vibe 🤟
Event closes at 10pm, but kick-ons are likely at the Henson Park Hotel.

Cost
There is no cost to attend, but we ask you put some money into the pool on the night if you can! If you're unable to attend in person and still want to support, Zack's flotilla fundraiser is here on Chuffed.
Where is the money going?
50% of funds raised will go to Zack's flotilla fundraiser to pay for flights and other logistics (excess to go into a collective pool for the flotilla), 25% will go to the Palestine Justice Movement Sydney and their mutual aid funds, and 25% to the Mob Strong Mutual Aid Fund.
