Why

The Hunter is at a turning point. As the world decarbonises and moves to renewable energy, Newcastle’s coal export industry is headed for rapid decline, and coal mines in the Hunter are nearing close dates.

We urgently need a plan to ensure secure, well-paid and sustainable jobs remain in our region.

Instead, the NSW and federal governments want to see our region transition into weapons manufacturing; fuelling genocide and war around the world, and putting our city at risk.

This is not the future the Hunter needs.
