Why

Ready to walk, stride or ride... Today from 5pm (to 6pm) for solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Stride for Gaza began in early 2024 as a virtual challenge organised by Medical Aid for Palestinians, inviting people worldwide to walk or run symbolic distances Palestinians are denied the freedom to travel. From 95 km between Gaza City and Jerusalem, to 50 km marking one year of war, and now 107 km launched on Nakba Day 2025, each challenge has raised vital funds and built global solidarity.

Here in town, Stride for Gaza Castlemaine keeps the momentum going with locals meeting each week to walk a few kilometres in recognition of those journeys, and in solidarity with the people of Gaza.
