Why

Seeding Strength 2 is back! ⋆˚✰ ݁˖⭑.ᐟ 🌺

Returning to The Red Rattler Theatre in 2026, this is a big, bold night of celebration, joy, and creative power, raising funds for the Mob Strong mutual aid fund and First Nations Response.

☆ Tickets available from Humanitix ☆ General Admission $25 ☆ Mob/First Nations Free ☆ SWer/FQ/Concession $18 ☆

Building on the energy of last year’s packed-out debut featuring 15+ community icons including Fetu Taku, BVT, BASJIA, Sara Saleh, and Jazz Money, Seeding Strength 2 brings together artists, performers, organisers, and community for an electric mix of music, dance, drag, poetry, film, burlesque, and performance. Expect work that’s joyful, raw, funny, political, tender, and loud.

This is a strictly radical, safer space, grounded in the long-held community of The Rattler. We centre collective, culturally grounded care and affirm the many ways we live, create, and resist as First Nations people and across creative worlds. No bigotry, no nonsense, just care, accountability, and shared love.

Every dollar raised on the night goes straight back into community, supporting Mob Strong and First Nations Response, First Nations-led initiatives delivering rapid, frontline support where it’s needed most.

Add in a stacked lineup, a community auction full of donated art and experiences, and a room full of people who get it, and you’ve got a night not to miss.

This event offers multiple ticket types. Please purchase the ticket that best reflects your capacity. Concession and community tickets are limited and intended for those who need them. Proof of ticket is required for entry, and ticket type eligibility may be checked at the door.

Come as you are. Let’s keep growing the seeds of liberation. 🌱

FAQs

~ What is this fundraiser for? ~

This fundraiser is going towards two vital, First-Nations led community initiatives:

  1. Mob Strong Fund

A First Nations led mutual aid fund that provides direct, community-controlled financial support to mob experiencing hardship. It exists to meet real, immediate needs as determined by community, not institutions, and operates on principles of care, trust, and solidarity rather than charity or bureaucracy.

The fund supports things like emergency relief, essential living costs, cultural and community needs, and crisis support, with decisions guided by community knowledge and relationships. Money moves quickly, stays in community hands, and is grounded in collective responsibility and self-determination.

  2. First Nations Response

A First Nations–led frontline organisation that provides rapid, culturally grounded support to First Nations communities during crises and emergencies. They work on the ground during events like floods, fires, extreme weather, and community emergencies, responding quickly where government and mainstream services often fail or arrive too late.

Their work includes delivering essential supplies, coordinating community-led responses, supporting evacuation and recovery efforts, and ensuring responses are shaped by local knowledge, relationships, and cultural protocols. First Nations Response operates on principles of self-determination, care, and accountability, making sure aid reaches community safely, respectfully, and without red tape.
