Why

Staff and students are invited to attend the UQ NTEU’s second annual Campus Civil Liberties Forum: Ideas under Fire: Academic Freedom and the Criminalisation of Protest on Campus. We will be discussing recent encroachments on academic freedoms and civil liberties in the wake of the QLD government’s recent passing of the Fighting Antisemitism and Keeping Guns Out of the Hands of Terrorists and Criminals Amendment Bill (2026), amongst broader efforts domestically to criminalise protest.
