Why
Bisalloy Steel continues to arm Israel's illegal settlements and the IOF with armour plate steel. Wollongong Friends of Palestine won't rest until they stop.
We are holding our first-ever forty-eight hour community picket at Bisalloy.
This is because on Sunday nights, Bisalloy fire up their furnace and start a busy week of arming a genocide. Our community picket will stop this at the start. We aim to cause maximum disruption and cut this link in Israel's genocide supply chain.
This community picket will be a collective form of direct action. We want as many people as possible to come together to block the gates and disrupt operations. The picket is its own democratic political space. We share a common goal to blockade Bisalloy, but there are many ways to do this, and different tactics are a strength. Everyone is an active participant and decisions will be made by those present.
Please join us from 8PM sharp – we are going to try to hold this picket for as long as possible.

- Camping gear, if you have it (we can provide plenty to borrow!)
- Warm clothes
- Banners and signs
- Power banks/ways to charge devices
Food Not Bombs and community members will provide dinner and breakfast.
