Trans people are under attack!
New Premier Ben Carroll is shifting Labor to the right as we stare down the barrel of a far-right government come November (fuck Pauline!). So-called 'south australia’ is facing a massive push to ban trans healthcare. 'new south wales' is under a transphobic Labor premier. 'tasmania' is facing a backlash against the ban on conversion practices. Numerous anti-trans bills have come to federal parliament as politicians move to the right. Already, we’ve survived the murders by state neglect, of loved ones lost to this racist, anti-trans colonial capitalist system. What’s coming is worse.
We must resist on the streets!
In this moment of fascist Trump and Hanson in an already fucked up system, we must build community power. The anti-trans bigots are rallying again on September 19th. They stand with the anti-woman, racist politics of fascists. They think we’re ‘easy targets’ to scapegoat and marginalise. Let’s prove them wrong again. Last time, we demonstrated in love, rage and solidarity. We out-numbered the bigots, danced to music, chanted for trans liberation and against police violence, and joined with the anti-imperialist protest against US spy base pine gap, for sacred land back.
This time, we wanna come back even stronger. We need you to join us, spread the word!
