Why

The decline of the Hunter mining industry is beginning to unfold, and our region needs urgent action to bring in new jobs and industries – new opportunities for mine workers and communities.

Our new short film series, Hunter at the Crossroads, explores the challenges facing our communities as mining wanes – the risks of failing to prepare – and the chance for our region to use this moment to create its industrial renaissance.

We invite you to join us for the launch of these films, and to take part in a community forum exploring the problems and possibilities facing our region.

The forum will be led by a panel of local advocates and industry experts. Come along, find out more, and have your say about the future of the Hunter.
