Why
Some of us are still carrying what we witnessed. Some of us are holding what our children witnessed.
After the Herzog rally and the police brutality, many women and many little ones were impacted in ways that don’t just disappear the next day.
We’re creating a gentle space to debrief, to sit together, to speak if you need to, or simply be held in community. Children are welcome. Their presence is honoured, and age-appropriate activities will be available so they feel safe and supported too.
As Ramadan, the holy month will have commenced, we will close the evening by breaking fast together. Women of all faiths and backgrounds are warmly welcome, whether you are fasting or simply coming to stand in solidarity and connection.
If you’re feeling heavy, shaken, angry, tender, or all of it at once, you are not alone. Come as you are.
- Sunday, 22nd of February
- 4.30pm
- Newtown Women's Library on unceded Aboriginal Land
Please DM us to book and let us know if you are staying for iftar (breaking of the fast) as well for catering purposes.
