Why

To coincide with the 4 year anniversary of the Lismore floods this month we are hosting a screening of the new documentary Floodland at Parliament of Victoria. Floodland is powerful story that captures the aftermath of the Lismore floods and the community-led solutions that emerge.

In response to the recent report from the Victorian Government’s Climate Resilience Inquiry, we are asking the government to establish a Victorian Community Climate Adaptation Fund to better resource organisations on the ground to prepare and adapt for climate disasters.

For those wishing to learn from the lessons of Lismore, Floodland will be screening next Wednesday 25th Feb at Cinema Nova, followed by a panel discussion with Director Jordan Giusti, film participant Eli and Friends of the Earth Melbourne. Please head to Cinema Nova to purchase tickets.
