Why

Join us for a free public screening and a panel discussion led by Senator Penny Allman-Payne.

The Pine Rivers Greens would love to see you at Everton Park Library on Saturday, 21 March! We will screen the amazing documentary film Palestinians Don't Need Sidewalks, and then hear from a fantastic panel led by Senator Penny Allman-Payne.

The event is free, but there is limited seating available, so make sure you register.

About the film

Palestinians Don't Need Sidewalks (2025)
Directed by Jill Pauline Hickson.

The latest documentary from Dare to Struggle Films takes viewers on a journey through the illegally occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. We meet local Palestinians, who describe the reality of life under Israeli occupation.

For this film they partnered with the Hebron Human Rights Defenders, who gathered footage of daily Palestinian life, Israeli crimes and attacks on young children. They also conducted interviews that reflect on life for Palestinians after October 7 2023.

This film provides an urgent reminder that it’s going to take all of us to put an end to one of history’s most shameful chapters. The film also looks at Australia’s complicity with the Israeli genocide against Palestinian people and goes way beyond the mainstream media portrayal of Israel. It is a film well worth seeing.

The event is free, but there is limited seating available, so make sure you register.

  • Senator Penny Allman-Payne from Queensland Greens (as MC)
  • Remah Naji from Justice for Palestine Magan-djin
