Why
Screening in collaboration with Lutruwita Activist and Mutual Aid (LAMA) Collective.
The movements this film explores and the values and goals held by the people involved resonate a lot with LAMA and our own goals and inspires the continual imagining of what LAMA is and will be.
As usual this will be a free event but highly encourage donations to LAMA and the opening of a social centre in Nipaluna.

Film description
Ten years after Student Alexandros Grigoropoulos was killed by Police in Exarcheia and the biggest protests the country had seen since the 1970s, the media no longer speaks of the Greek crisis. Everything suggests that the austerity cure has succeeded and that calm has returned. This film proves the opposite.
Love and Revolution shows the behind the scenes of activism across Greece, from preventing auctions of foreclosed homes in Thessaloniki, to farmers in Crete opposing construction of a new airport, back to the neighbourhood of Exarcheia, Athens where the anarchist movement has grown and now houses hundreds of refugees in squats.
