Why
Are you ready for action?
Join us for a full-day Rising Tide training in Adelaide.
Learn everything you need to know before heading to Newcastle, and meet other climate defenders who'll be joining the Blockade from South Australia.
This training is as much about building community and forming affinity groups as it is about learning or refreshing skills - so it’s great for everyone!
We’re hosting this training twice, but there's no need to come to both days unless you want to!
- Sunday the 2nd of November, 10am – 4pm
- Sunday the 16th of November, 10am – 4pm
Both sessions are hosted at Conservation Council of South Australia, 55 Exchange Place, Adelaide (wheelchair accessible).
Please BYO: lunch and snacks
What we’ll cover
- Affinity groups: how to form and work in them
- Spokes councils: collective decision-making in big actions
- Nonviolent Direct Action (NVDA) training with practice role plays
- Transport logistics and practical info for the Blockade
No prior experience required – just bring your energy, curiosity, and commitment to climate justice.
RSVP essential. Invite your friends to do the same.
If you haven't already registered to attend the Blockade, head to Rising Tide as soon as you can.
Let’s come together to build our skills and our community for the sake of a safer climate!
This event will be held on Kaurna Country, and we pay our respects to First Nations people everywhere.
