Why
On November 15 join What Were You Wearing? Australia for our National ‘Move for Them’ Day – a movement dedicated to reclaiming freedom, safety and power for women, girls and gender-diverse people in public spaces.
This nationwide initiative challenges rape culture, uplifts survivors, and demands the right to move freely, day or night, without fear. With sexual violence rates rising across Australia, everyday acts like running, walking, or exercising outdoors have become risks to safety for too many. Together, we are taking that power back.
For scheduling updates check the Facebook event.
Why we Move
- To support survivors in their recovery journey
- To celebrate community and collective action
- To demand safe access to public spaces for all
- To use movement as a source of healing and empowerment
