Why

The Organising Committee for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic & Paralympic Games is hosting a high-priced “Buyer Lunch” at The Star to present EOI packages for the procurement process of Olympic contracts. While they network inside, we will gather peacefully outside to remind them – and the public – that our parks are not for sale.

Victoria Park Barrambin is one of Brisbane’s most significant cultural, ecological, and historical places. It is home to ancient First Nations heritage, critical wildlife habitat, and the city’s last large inner-city green space. Yet it remains under threat from the proposed Olympic stadiums.

We invite everyone who loves Brisbane’s green spaces to stand together in peaceful protest. Bring signs, wear comfortable shoes, and add your voice to the growing movement demanding that Olympic development respect our heritage, environment, and future.

🌳 Help us show decision-makers that the community will not accept the destruction of Victoria Park Barrambin.

📢 Together, we can protect it – for good.

Please bring a yard sign if you have one but we will also have some if you don’t have your own.
