Why
Join us for the Aldinga screening of Turning the Ship!
Live music from Lucas Day and a delicious community meal, courtesy of the soup kitchen, will be on offer as per usual 🙂
Turning the Ship tells the story of the passion and drive of Rising Tide and the extraordinary 2024 People’s Blockade of the World’s Largest Coal Port. The highs, the lows and the triumphs!
Find out about the 2025 blockade, as well as local initiatives for environmental and climate action, and how you can get involved.
For scheduling updates check the Facebook event.
Watch the film, then hear from local residents who joined the blockade and discover how community-led movements like Rising Tide are working together to advocate a safe climate for current and future generations.
This event is kid-friendly and perfect for families and anyone who cares about our beautiful planet. If you’re curious about our people powered movement to tackle the escalating climate and biodiversity crisis, come along and connect with our Rising Tide community, newcomers very welcome!
This event takes place on Kaurna Country - land that was never ceded.
