There was a powerful and defiant Trans Visibility Day rally and march in Sydney on April 2.
This came after weeks of escalating vilification violence against the trans and gay community, especially from right-wing groups like One Nation and "Christian Lives Matter".
Organised by Pride In Protest, the LGBTIQ rights activists gathered in Newtown's Pride Square to hear speeches and marched through heavy rain to Victoria Park.
