A group of protesters stage a "die-in" action on day one at the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration (APPEA) conference held at the Adelaide Convention Centre on May 14.

The Australian environment is under increased threat from an expansion in oil and gas exploration. From the Kimberley to Bass Straight, and the Great Artesian Basin to Queensland farming communities and the Great Barrier Reef, the energy extraction industry is placing strain on our land, water and sea resources.
