Hidden Agendas: The films and writings of John Pilger
<http://pilger.carlton.com>

Award-winning journalist and film-maker John Pilger has waged a moral war against Western governments for the past three decades. Unrelenting in his pursuit of the truth, he has exposed the lies, injustices and hidden agendas that dictate world order.

Carlton.com has now launched Hidden Agendas: The films and writings of John Pilger, a web site looks in detail at the issues raised in John Pilger's films, concentrating specifically on the plight of Iraq (including an exclusive Pilger update), Vietnam, East Timor, Burma and the Aborigines in his native Australia. Furthermore it explores his concerns about the ever-increasing power of global media organisations.

One of the features of the site is Death of a Nation: the Timor Conspiracy (<http://pilger.carlton.com/timor>), John Pilger's ground-breaking film, first broadcast in 1996 but updated in 1999, which revealed to the world the 25 years of genocide suffered by the East Timor at the hands of Indonesian troops and the Western governments who funded their invasion. The web site seeks to further the information provided in the film, to provide an up-to-date and comprehensive resource of relevant writings and to offer a current consideration on East Timor.
