CANBERRA — Members First candidate for deputy president of the ACT branch of the Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU), Deborah Lally, is focusing her campaign on the lack of action taken by the ACT and national union leaderships on issues of relating to outsourcing.

Lally, a professional division steward in IP Australia, is keen for the CPSU branch to implement the decision taken by the ACT branch conference for members to be involved in the campaign against "market testing" (preparation for outsourcing).

Lally's campaign received a good hearing from members. Mant expressed support for Lally's fight against outsourcing.

The postal ballot opened on November 10 and closes on December 1.To find out more about Members First and/or to assist the election campaign, hone Stuart Martin on 0404 899 454, email <membersfirst@bigpond.com>, or visit the <http://www.users.bigpond.com/membersfirst>.
