History's Turning Points: Revolution in Paris — Covers the period 1789-93, focusing on Bastille Day 1789 when Parisians marched to the Bastille to get gunpowder. The angry crowd and the Governor's guards clashed and the fall of Bastille became the symbol of the French Revolution. SBS, Wednesday, November 24, 7.30pm.

David Suzuki's Nature of Things: Yellowstone to Yukon — Outlines a proposal by conservationists to redraw the map of North America to connect isolated islands of parks, wilderness and Crown land into one 3000-kilometre biological "corridor" from Yellowstone National Park to the Yukon Territory. SBS, Wednesday, November 24, 8.30pm.

BackBerner — If you haven't yet tuned in to this sharply satirical treatment of current affairs by comedian Peter Berner and others, you're missing out. The write up warns, "This program contains material which may offend"; we're sure it does. ABC-TV, Thursdays, 9pm.

The Human Journey — The second of a three-part series charting the course of human evolution. In this episode, when modern humans emerged from Africa they found they were not alone. Who were the people living in the Middle East and how had they got there? ABC-TV, Thursday, November 25, 9.30pm.
