The Democratic Solidarity of Iranians group protested outside the United States Consulate in North Sydney on March 6, demanding an end to the war.

Around 20 people attended the snap protest, chanting “No war on Iran”, “Down with Trump”, and “Stop the US-Israel war on Iran”.

Speakers called on passers-by not to let “global warmongers”, “war hawks” and the Islamic regime decide the country’s fate. That called for an immediate ceasefire, saying military aggression would not help Iran.

A smaller group waving US, Australian and Israeli flags was nearby showing their support for the bombing.

The anti-war protest is one of a series being organised by Iranian exiles and anti-war groups to demand the Australian government stop supporting the US and Israeli war.
