Why
A walk to end violence against women and girls.
This Sexual Violence Awareness Month, we come together to Reclaim the Night — and to send a clear message: women and girls have the right to feel safe, be safe and live free from violence.
Join the Fraser Coast Domestic and Family Violence Alliance as we walk together in solidarity with victim-survivors and raise our voices against sexual violence, harassment and all forms of violence against women and girls.
This is more than a walk. It is a statement that violence is never the fault of the person experiencing it. The responsibility for violence lies with those who choose to use it, and ending violence requires all of us to challenge the attitudes, behaviours and systems that enable it.
- We walk for those who have experienced violence
- We walk for those whose voices have been silenced
- We walk for the women and girls who deserve to feel safe — everywhere, every day
- We walk because prevention is possible, change is possible, and together we can create a safer future
Bring your friends, family, colleagues and community. Walk with us, raise your voice and help create a community where women and girls can move through the world without fear.
Reclaim the Night. Reclaim our streets. Reclaim our voices.
- Friday 30 Oct 2026
- 6pm
- Seafront Oval, Pialba - to Scarness Rotunda
- Wear purple, bring your banners, comfortable shoes, water and your commitment to ending violence.
Everyone is welcome.
